Julia, Senior Producer

“I fell in love with contemporary circus arts and having been honing my skills as an amateur aerial hoop artist for the past 7 years. I am excited to join Upswing at such a pivotal time and am excited to impact the further development and success of the company.”

Committed to removing barriers to access, Julia’s career has been focused on engaging people with the Arts. She is experienced in managing complex projects, innovative engagement programmes and partner relationships, cultivating an atmosphere of belonging, where all people can flourish. Following almost 15 years’ experience teaching in inner London secondary schools, Julia moved to the Arts sector to connect people with arts experiences and opportunities from an alternate angle. 

Julia spent time as a key member of the senior team at Rambert, Rambert Grades and as Cultural Education Partnership Manager for Ealing. Julia volunteers as Chair of Trustees at Scarabeus Aerial Theatre and is a freelance producer working in the dance sector.
